• What to Expect at Your First Appointment

    • When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by our front desk team! They’ll take care of any remaining paperwork and ask for copies of your identification/insurance card.  Our patients receiving relaxing Acupuncture and Massage Treatments in our suite will appreciate silencing your cell phone in the reception area.
    • Our appointments regularly begin on time and typically last 30 – 60 minutes.  So as not to be rushed, we allot the full 60 minutes for your visit – please do so as well.
    • The first 20-45 minutes of your visit will be consulting with the doctor. You’ll discuss your health history, share your goals with her, and she may have some follow up questions. She’ll educate on potential natural options that may be successful for you, outline an initial treatment plan, and answer your questions.
    • The final 15 minutes of your visit is often typically utilized for Data Collection if possible. This is customized to the patient’s needs and helps the doctor be more specific in both finding the actual cause of a problem and in her recommendations. Examples include: a Bio Impedance Analysis Scan (which measures cell health, cell toxicity, body fat percentage, etc.), body measurements, structural or postural analysis, and others.
      • If the doctor recommends lab testing or x-ray analysis, those are completed separately and we’ll schedule that for you today too.
    • The front desk team will assist you in scheduling whatever may come next in your personalized plan. They’ll provide you a Welcome Packet to take home containing the information you’ll need (such as lab tests or insurance / financial questions)…… and perhaps even a famous “homework assignment” the doctor is noted for! And finally, they’ll assist you with payment which is expected at the time of service.

    How to Prepare

    1. Please complete your New Patient Paperwork in advance via the private, HIPAA-secure link we’ll send by email. If needed, you can complete this in the office by paper as well (pdf link here). In that case, please arrive 20 minutes early for your visit – our paperwork is detailed and our appointments regularly start on time.
    2. Please submit your insurance information at least 72 hours in advance using this link.
      • If you’ve submitted your insurance information at least 72 hours in advance of the appointment, you’ll be responsible for your portion of the office visit at the time of service. The front desk team will be able to provide you a handout with your specific insurance coverage information so you know what to expect moving forward.
      • If you have not submitted your insurance information at least 72 hours in advance of the appointment, you’ll be responsible for the full cost of the day’s visit at the time of service. The front desk will contact you several days after the visit with your specific insurance coverage expectations.
      • If you are not utilizing an insurance carrier, you’ll be responsible for the full cost of the day’s visit (ranging up to $300). You’ll be provided a sheet at the conclusion of the visit with our office’s major services and the associated self-pay rates for complete clarity.
    3. Do you have recent (6 months or less) lab testing or imaging reports you’re planning on referencing during your visit? You can send copies early (by faxing to 847-421-4531) or bring them with you to the visit.
    4. Please wear relaxed clothing, without nylons / compression stockings and that you can move easily in.
    5. Don’t forget to bring: a form of identification and your insurance card.
    6. Do you know where our location is? Here it is on GoogleMaps. When you pull into the corporate center, we’re the first suite on the right side, next to the leasing agent’s office.
